In AXA Group Operations (AXA GO), our vision is to scale Tech, Data and Operations, to create a competitive advantage for AXA. The objective is to support all of AXA’s teams and empower them to take on responsibility in order to achieve this shared purpose.

AX Group Operations main activities are to deliver the common IT capabilities supporting all the entities of the Group as well as setting direction on innovation, IT architecture, procurement and security for all AXA as part of its corporate mandates

-          Innovation: creating and providing the foundations and opportunities for AXA’s teams who will develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of our current and future customers;

-          Execution: creating the environment that will enable our teams around the world to bring their ideas to life and deliver on the promises made to our customers.

 

Specifically, we aim to:

-          Further strengthen value creation for the entire AXA Group;

-          Support and encourage innovation within AXA;

-          Automate and integrate simplicity into our day-to-day work, while ensuring we effectively contribute to AXA’s mission and strategy.

 

The Group Operations teams include:

-          GTO and Group CIO: define AXA’s global IT strategy; promote the convergence of IT within the entities and provide them with shared services;

-          Group Security: protects our employees, our stakeholders and the AXA brand by securing information and managing cybersecurity, physical security and operational resiliency;

-          Group Emerging Technologies and Data: defines the Group’s data maturity ambitions; builds and manages the community; coordinates research and expertise; supports the less mature entities in terms of data; identifies market-leading technologies and develops disruptive technologies for the entities; creates use cases for specific technologies with the entities;

-          Group Procurement: defines AXA’s procurement strategy, guidelines and Group standards; manages relations with our strategic suppliers and accelerates business purchases;

-          Group Strategic Program Management: ensures the consistency of global projects with the Group’s strategy; oversees the implementation and performance of strategic projects;

-          GO Strategy: supports the definition and execution of the strategy for the entity, ensuring alignment with Group strategic orientations, and consistency within AXA GO

-          AXA GBS: offers shared services aligned with AXA’s business priorities;

 

 

In this context, you will be joining the GO strategy department.

 

 Its purpose is to define and steer transversally the implementation of GO Strategy, aligned with the Group’s strategic plan.

 

To carry out this mission, the team's main activities are as follows:

-          Define the strategic priorities of AXA GO. Define, monitor and communicate the KPIs associated to these priorities

-          Ensure the scoping, planning and goal setting of transversal and strategic projects. Support the execution and governance of these projects

-          Ensure effective communication across GO divisions and across organizational levels, on the strategic definition and implementation. Support transversal initiatives and manage interdependencies between functions when applicable

-          Steer GO investments transversally through the management of the Project Portfolio

 

 

YOUR FUTURE CONTRIBUTION

 

Reporting to the GO Strategy executive manager, your core missions will be:

 

Strategic Project Management and Project Monitoring

 

·       Monitor progress: track deadlines, deliverables, resources, and timelines throughout the strategic initiatives process (to ensure they deliver on time, money and quality)

·       Monitor governance: set-up and attend governance meetings on strategic initiatives, monitor decisions and action plans

·       Adapt and understand the situation: demonstrate flexibility to adapt to evolutions in strategic initiatives, understand the issues specific to each initiative, and be able to adjust according to the needs and constraints encountered

·       Detect blocking factors: identify obstacles or blocking factors encountered in the implementation of initiatives and contribute to finding solutions

·       Alert when necessary: be attentive to warning signals, and quickly report any element likely to jeopardize the achievement of strategic initiatives

 

Communication and Reporting

 

·       Report on progress: collect the progress made on the various strategic initiatives, consolidate and present them in a clear and concise manner

·       Create documentation to facilitate action and decision-making: create and maintain up to date documents supporting the strategic initiatives at GO level, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support decision-making and operational efficiency

·       Liaise with stakeholders and ensure transparent communication: share with the various stakeholders involved in strategic initiatives. Gather their feedback, ensure their involvement and maintain transparent communication on the progress of initiatives, challenges encountered and actions taken

 

Contribution to Best Practices 

 

·       Contribute to the overall improvement: in collaboration with Organization, Process, Strategy and Data team, identify potential pain points and activities to improve. Act as a force of proposition, explaining what can be improved and how, based on factual elements

Profile Needed

YOUR BACKGROUND

Training: BAC+4 or BAC+5

Target schools: Tier 1 engineering or business school, top university. International experience (e.g. international exchange) is a plus.
