Job Description

Artist Services (AS) Business Line is looking for its new Controller Senior Leader. AS Business Line is one of the core engines to achieve Believe’s objective which is building the best artist development solution. AS is growing, exploring, transforming itself while defining the future of the music industry. In this context, the Artist Services Controlling Senior Leader is the Business Partner of Artist Services Business line on Finance topics.  

Under the guidance of the Head of Business Controlling, she / he will lead Artist Services Business Controlling Team. This team is part of Central Finance focusing on the Business Line and covering all geographies. 

On AS scope & related topics, the mission of Central Finance team is to empower, highlight, control & challenge Artist Services Business line and Businesses (GM, GMO & Local finance & eventually HoS). In collaboration with Group Controlling & Methods and Referential (M&R) teams, Artist Services Controlling Senior Leader and his / her team are the business partner of AS Central team, points of contact on Business line related topics, and will be in charge of the following tasks: 

 

Assess & challenge “Artist Services” economic model & trends, in close collaboration with AS Central team: 

  • Analyze & challenge economic model and its underlying risks & opportunity / potentials  

  • Ensure that KPIs used are the proper ones to track the activity (its risks & potential). 

  • Make sure that current decisions made as well as deals in review are in line with Strategy and assess mid-term impacts. 

  • Drive initiatives to optimize business line working capital, cash flow, and capital allocation. 

  • Review of Business Plan produced by local teams and provide framework & templates.  

 

Perform analytical review on a monthly basis from Revenue to EBITDA, including working capital and ROCE analysis, to ensure that actuals are properly reflecting the business, highlighting key drivers & challenge AS Central and / or Local business regarding trends vs last year and last forecast. 

 

Co-design of the framework with M&R team & Group Controlling and be guardian of this Framework towards Central & Local on AS related topics. By Framework we mean analytical framework, regalian compliancy (accounting, deals validation process & deals structuration, etc), guidelines (forecast, budget, etc) & KPIS (right ones & right figures). 

 

Animate Budget & Forecast process for Artist Services Business Line within the framework set with Group Controlling & M&R: 

  • Ensure, with AS Central team, that budget exercise enables to track the proper execution of the strategy and / or Group BP  

  • Oversee integrity of budgeting tools and collaborate with M&R and Project teams for tools enhancement. 

  • Support local teams / business teams during budget process, challenge their projections to ensure we meet financial objectives 

 

Review deals memo & analysis with the Spreadsheet factory team on a daily basis 

 

Profile Needed

With a higher education (such as a business or engineering school, or a postgraduate diploma in management control), you have at least 10 years of experience in controlling, auditing, or consulting.  

During your experience, you have acquired the following skills: 

• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint + Strong analytical 

• Excellent writing and communication skills: this job is indeed exposed to Top management through the deal validation process as well as in direct contacts Sales & business teams which implies strong communications skills  

• Fluency in English, both oral and written, is required 

• Rigor and a pursuit of excellence 

• Autonomy and proactivity 

• Ability to work on multiple projects and in a changing environment 

• Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn
