We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer (m/w/d) to join our customer team in Santo Tirso, Portugal.

Your missions will be:

  • Generating mechanical designs and CAD models
  • Specifying and selecting machine and structural components
  • Creating fabrication drawings and production documents
  • Preparing support documentation and assisting with testing of mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Providing expertise and support to all engineering activities of the company
  • Working on mechanical design aspects of aerospace products
  • Supporting continuous improvement in design and verification processes
  • Facilitating efficient interaction and information flow between disciplines
  • Contributing to development ideas and their realization
  • Proactively introducing, documenting, and disseminating new technologies and concepts through technology survey activities

Requirements

About you:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in aerospace or similar
  • In-depth knowledge of Mechanical Design and Equipment Installation (MSI)
  • Proficiency in engineering tools, including CAD and Product Data Management (PDM) systems
  • Advanced experience with CATIA V5 (full 3D modeling: part design, assembly design, drafting); familiarity with Airbus Defense and Space–specific design tools is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of material selection and surface treatment processes
  • Experience with QCM (Quality Conformance Management), NC (Non-Conformities), and MAP (Manufacturing Assembly Processes)
  • VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) experience is a strong plus
  • Proficient in standard office and internet software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite)
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a strong plus
