Our client is an independent energy infrastructure group active in gas transmission, storage, and LNG terminalling. With a strong focus on sustainability, the company is committed to enabling future carbon-neutral energy carriers such as hydrogen and biomethane.

Context

The Network Operations team manages the setup, security, and operations of networks supporting industrial and office environments across multiple European locations. The team handles projects such as:

• Setting up connectivity in new data centers
• Securing and connecting to the cloud
• Modernizing WAN networks
• Supporting application-driven functional evolutions

Role Responsibilities

• Operate within a team supporting 24/7 company activities
• Work in IT and OT environments, ensuring careful preparation and execution of changes
• Participate in deployment and maintenance of OT and IT systems
• Handle day-to-day operations, incident analysis, and problem resolution
• Provide support to colleagues in Belgium and across Europe

General Requirements

• Fluent in English and one national language (French or Dutch)
• Strong team player with ability to work independently
• Drivers Licence 

Technical Skills

• Must Have:
  • Operational firewall knowledge (Palo Alto, Checkpoint)
  • Basic routing and switching knowledge (CCNA level)
  • Familiarity with Cisco CLI
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with backend tools (monitoring, NAC, syslog, authentication)
  • First relevant work experience
• Nice to Have:
  • OT experience
  • Background in computer science
